Welcome 2020!

Hello Friends!

As we welcome the new year I find myself, like many of you based on your calls and e-mails, planning my next travel adventure.

I decided this year I would focus on new places, new ships and new experiences. My first new ship will be the Celebrity Edge in February. Although this is another Caribbean cruise (who can beat the Caribbean in February?) I am really excited about experiencing the Edge. Celebrity is migrating it’s ships to the outward facing design that was introduced on the flagship Edge, so I am really anxious to see it first hand. There are so many things I want to experience, like the Infinite Veranda in my cabin, the Flying Carpet and the many new dining and entertainment venues on the ship. I promise to report back!

The other adventure is going to be a really new challenge for me. I plan a solo cruise to Ireland and Iceland in the summer. It is also on Celebrity, but this time the Silhouette. I have never traveled solo – always traveling with family or friends – so this will be a new experience and one that I am anxious to try. My criteria was that it had to be somewhere I had never visited or on a cruise line I had never experienced. While I have been to the British Isles I have never explored Ireland and I have never been to Iceland at all. So, my plan was hatched.

Since I am by nature a pack animal it took a lot of gumption to actually book the sailing and I credit some of my regular clients (you know who you are) for giving me the courage to experience solo travel. I can’t wait to tell you all about it.
